Sound Bath and Sound Therapy in Vilnius Old Town
Lying on a mat, you let the sound of Tibetan bowls, a gong and other instruments relax your body and quiet your mind. Sessions take place in a cosy studio on Gėlių Street.
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a deep relaxation practice using Tibetan singing bowls, a gong, crystal bowls and percussion. Our sound masters combine these ancient instruments with modern ambient sounds, so the experience is deep but gentle.
We feel sound not only with our ears. Low frequency vibrations are felt through the whole body, which is why sound therapy often helps even people who find it hard to meditate or calm down just by breathing.
To learn more about how sound affects the nervous system, read our article “Sound Therapy: Science, Benefits, and What to Expect During Your First Session”.
How a session works
- You settle on a mat, lying down or sitting, whichever is more comfortable.
- The bowls, gong and other instruments play. You do not need to do anything, just listen and feel.
- At the end there is time to come back slowly, and tea is waiting in the rest room.
Everyone experiences sound differently: some fall asleep, some see colours, others simply feel calm. Every experience is valid.
